ICAS Office and Telephone Hours

Office hours (for in-person submission): If you have applied for an Assessment Report and you would like to submit your original documents in-person, you may schedule an appointment for in-person submission. Appointments for in-person document submission are only available to those with an ICAS File Number.

Privacy

ICAS values your privacy. We are not authorized to provide information about an application or assessment to any third party without your signed, written consent. If you would like to authorize ICAS to discuss your file with someone else, please provide a signed, written letter with your application or documents. Please note that both the application form and document submission form must be signed by you, the applicant.

News & Updates

Mail Strike

Canada Post is the corporation responsible for the shipment of items by postal mail in Canada. Canada Post has advised the public of a potential service disruption due to a labour dispute between the corporation and the employees’ union. This may result in service disruptions and delayed delivery of mail and packages. The service interruption could begin as early as Friday, November 15.

As a result of the potential service disruption, ICAS will not send any reports or documents by mail until the labour dispute is resolved. Applicants who have requested delivery of reports and/or documents by regular mail have the option to request delivery by courier or have the package held at ICAS until the dispute is resolved.

To ensure the timely arrival of your documents and report, ICAS strongly recommends that documents be shipped to our office by courier and that you select return delivery of your report by courier.

Processing Time (ECA for Immigration to Canada)

The average processing time is 20 weeks after all required documents are received in our office.

All files are handled as quickly as is possible, in order, based on the date of receipt of complete documentation. Rush services are not available.

Processing Time (other ICAS reports)

Processing time begins when all required documentation has been received in our office. These are an estimate only and rush services are not available.

The following are the current average processing times for each type of ICAS Assessment Report:

General Assessment Report (8-10 weeks)

Secondary School Comprehensive Assessment Report (8-10 weeks)

Postsecondary Comprehensive Assessment Report and Secondary and Postsecondary Comprehensive Assessment Report (25 weeks).

Please note that these estimates do not apply to assessments for immigration to Canada.

Immigration to Canada

If you are applying for immigration to Canada, ICAS has a separate application process for immigration applicants who require an ECA.
